Universal Orlando Holiday VIP Tour

Universal Orlando recently added a new mini VIP tour specializing in the holiday festivities. Here’s a few highlights from our tour.

First, we could select either 7pm or 8pm as our sharing time. We selected 7:00 and were instructed to arrive at the VIP check-in 30 minutes prior. After checking in, we were put in groups and headed out to the parks.

We were taken backstage to view a few current movie and show production sets. Then we arrived at The Circus McGurkus Cafe Stoo-Pendous for our meet and greet with the Grinch!

After talking with the Grinch and taking photos, we were escorted over to the kitchen for customized hot chocolate and Christmas cookies. All you care to enjoy!

We also had pre addressed post cards to send to family and friends!

Once we finished our cocoa and cookies, we headed over to the Christmas Tribute Store, which is a collection of Holiday Merchandise, displays and movie props.

Next up on our tour was a private viewing of the Macy’s holiday float walk-through experience. This is usually in parade form but was cancelled this year. Instead, Universal created this experience so guests could still enjoy this holiday favorite! It features lots of Universal’s signature characters as well as Santa!

To end our tour, we walked over to Hogsmeade for a private viewing of the Hogwarts Castle stage show that is only being shown to VIP guests AND it had fireworks! It was so cool to see Hogsmeade empty! We were given plenty of time to practice our wizarding skills, explore shops and have butter beer while we waited for the show!

At the end our the trip, we dropped our letters off at the Owlery. Our VIP tour guide even gave each of us a Hogwarts ornament!

Overall, this was a great experience! We enjoyed the private access to all the Christmas festivities and seeing all the backstage areas of Universal Orlando!
