The Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser is officially welcoming guests aboard the Halcyon for an out of this world adventure. Guests can enjoy all-you-can-eat meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner that are included in the price.
Breakfast and lunch are buffet style. Once you enter the kitchen, you grab a tray and go around the room adding food to it. Upon request, Cast Members will accommodate to any dietary needs.
Breakfast featured foods like waffles, eggs, hash-browns, etc. Lunch had a different menu both days that included grilled cheese and tomato soup, peanut butter and jelly, mac and cheese topped with chicken, ribs, salads, flatbreads, and more.
The food here was good for the most part; nothing really stood out as the best part of the meal. Some of the favorites was the mac and cheese topped with chicken, grilled cheese and tomato soup, and the dessert.
One of the best parts about the Galactic Starcruiser was having blue and green milk on tap! They even tasted good mixing them together.
Aside from the main dining room, the Sublight Lounge is open from 5:00 PM – 2:00 AM. The lounge offers a small menu of food included in the price, while all beverages aside from fountain drinks are priced a la carte.
Dinner the first night was a three course meal. Three pods filled with beef, chicken, and vegetables were served as an appetizer. They were extremely doughy and had the tiniest sliver of filling in the middle. No one in our party enjoyed them.
Night 2’s dinner featured a few planets throughout the galaxy. The first course was the bread service. It was a little similar to Sanaa’s and was one of the best parts of the meal.
The blue shrimp was the second course. It came out on a platter that was filled with smoke to add effect. Honestly, it tasted like regular shrimp; it just looked a little intimidating.
For the main course, beef and fish were served at the same time. The beef was so tender and the sauce it came with was amazing. It was definitely the best meal we had on the starcruiser.
Dessert was a chocolate cake with a layer of salted caramel. It was designed in the shape of the Galactic Starcruiser logo.
Throughout dinner the first night, Gaya performed with two assistants. The storyline is heavily played out as you eat. On the second night there aren’t any performances, but the dinner is interrupted by the First Order.
Overall, the food wasn’t anything special. However, there were a few good courses that we really enjoyed. For the most part, the food seemed like it was there more for looks than enjoyment.
