Luca is literally a fish out of water story. It is about a “sea monster” named Luca, who is a shepherd of fish with his family. He meets a new friend named Alberto who is also a sea monster, but shows Luca that when they come to the surface they turn into human form.
They go on an adventure in an Italian village in search of owning their very own Vespa. On this adventure they make friends along the way and learn more about themselves and what they want to do in life. It’s a great movie to watch with your family and with children of all ages.
There is a wonderful message about accepting others who are not like you. This movie comes at a great time, while there still is racial injustice in this world and to show that even though we may look different on the outside, that does not mean there is not a great heart and person on the inside.
This movie also has an anti-bullying message and how it is not nice to bully others.
My family and I rate this movie 4 sea monster tails out of 4.
