Today, Disney released the next video in the “Designing the Disney Wish” series, which offers some behind-the-scenes looks from the Walt Disney Imagineers at the construction and design of Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship. (This should totally be a new series on Disney+, but that’s just my own personal opinion).
Here are a few of the exciting things that I found from the latest video:
The video starts out with some new aerial footage of the midship pool area and AquaMouse where it passes through the forward funnel and also the new adult space located at the aft of the ship.
We also got some behind-the-scenes footage at the new AquaMouse, including the animated screens, the enclosed tube, and the ride “vehicle”.
The announcement of the Star Wars: Hyperspace Lounge was one of the more popular announcements from the earlier reveal event. We got a look at the construction of this new space today as well.
And finally, one thing that I was very curious about was the slide entrance into the Oceaneer Club from the Grand Hall. While we still don’t know exactly how this is going to work, we did get a glimpse of what the entrance might look like. And it also answers the question of how the check-in process will work because it appears there will be a check-in stand next to the entrance to the chute.
Did you catch the video? Did anything else jump out at you? I can’t wait for more of these peeks behind the scenes!
