Loews Royal Pacific Resort is a great onsite option to stay at Universal Orlando! The best perk about staying at this hotel is the Express Unlimited Pass is included with your hotel stay! Upon entering the lobby, you will instantly notice the South Seas theming in this resort. The lobby is sleek and modern, with tropical touches all around. I checked in early Labor Day morning to take advantage of this perk for a busy day at the parks. Rooms may not be ready early in the morning, but you can still check-in to get your perks and they will text you when the room is ready. Luggage services also will hold your bags, while you enjoy the parks.
I got the text the room was ready while in the parks. With this option, we could bypass the desk this time around and go straight to the room. I was booked in a Standard Room and assigned room 3347 in Tower 3. Tower 3 is conveniently located next to the pool and a short walk to the water taxi. Food options were nearby this location too!
My room was a short walk from the Tower 3 elevator. This room was plenty big for 3 or 4 with the two queen size beds. It had a fairly big closet with a space in front of the door for extra luggage storage. The storage was great with a large dresser with 6 drawers, an ottoman to put a suitcase on, and the standard hotel luggage rack. There was also a large under-sink storage space in the vanity area.
I was most impressed with the lighting in the room. It had ample lighting in every area of the room. The room even had the small reading lights above the bed so you wouldn’t disturb others. They also had several plug-ins and USB outlets near the bed. There were more at the desk area along with the standard plugs throughout the room. This is a big plus when traveling with a lot of electronics!
The bathroom area was very large. There were a total of 3 of us, and we had no issues getting ready in the mornings, because of the amount of space in the bathroom area. There is a large full length mirror opposite the bathroom door. There are also different light switches depending if you want full brightness or dim lighting. Royal Pacific provided lots of toiletries such as shampoo, conditioner, body soap, body wash, body lotion, facial soap, shower cap and a vanity kit.
Overall, I was pleased with this hotel stay and experience. With the COVID-19 guidelines in place, I felt the cleanliness of this hotel was up to par. The staff was very welcoming and friendly during our stay. I would not hesitate to book a return stay here in the future!
