On May 1, 2014, Disney’s Hollywood Studios will celebrate its 25th anniversary. Disney has some special events planned for the day. The name officially changed in 2008 but many of us “old school” fans still refer to the park as “MGM.”
The schedule for the day is:
10 AM, Mickey and Minnie Mouse along with the park’s vice president Dan Cockerell will take the stage to honor 25-year cast members in a rededication ceremony.
7 PM, a “Stars of the Studios” motorcade will feature Disney Stars: Captain Jack Sparrow, Darth Vader, Doc McStuffins, Wreck-It Ralph, Venellope, Sofia the First and others down Hollywood Boulevard.
After the motorcade the area in front of Sorcerer Hat will become a dance party before ending the day with a special fireworks show at 9:30 PM.
