Disney Cruise Line planned to hold a simulation sailing from June 29-30, but just delayed the sailing due to positive Covid-19 test results.
Disney’s official statement can be seen below:
“We are delaying our simulation cruise due to a small number of inconsistent COVID-19 test results, which are considered positive by the CDC. The rigorous health and safety protocols we have in place helped us identify the situation, though the test results were ultimately negative.”
Other cruise lines like Royal Caribbean also delayed their sailings due to positive crew Covid-19 test results.
Disney has not, if yet stated that passengers or crew need to be fully vaccinated. Disney Cruise Line specializes in family vacations which would have plenty of passengers 12 years old and under that are not eligible for vaccination yet.
Disney can reschedule the simulation sailing as soon as mid-July with volunteer passengers.
