The D23 Expo Disney Parks panel announced several new and exciting things on Sunday, September 11.
Here’s a look at everything coming to the Disney Parks and Disney Cruise Line in the near future.
Happily Ever After is set to return to Magic Kingdom. Currently, Disney Enchantment is the nighttime fireworks spectacular at the park. With the 50th anniversary celebration concluding on March 30, 2023, Happily Ever After is expected to return after.
The Mandalorian and Grogu will appear at Disneyland’s Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in mid-November this year.
Avengers Campus will be expanding with a brand new multiversal attraction featuring just about every single hero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Hulk will also make his Avengers Campus debut next week in Disney California Adventure.
Pacific Warf will be reimagined into the world of San Fransokyo from the movie, Big Hero 6. Guests will be able to meet Baymax and more in this new land.
Paradise Pier Hotel is officially being remade into Pixar Place Hotel. The hotel will feature all sorts of Pixar favorites like Mike Wasowski, Woody, Mr. Incredible, Miguel, and more.
Mickey’s Toontown is currently undergoing a huge transformation. Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway will be the featured attraction and is going to tell a different story than the one told at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Mickey will also receive a brand new meet and greet location. Goofy’s Playhouse and Donald’s Boat are expanding as well.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is set to open in late 2024 at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World. The attraction will pickup straight from where The Princess and the Frog ends. The original cast of the movie will be lending their voices to the attraction.
An all new nighttime spectacular is coming to Epcot after the 50th Anniversary Celebration in honor of the Disney 100 Celebration.
Moana’s Journey of Water will open in late 2023, as well as Figment’s return to Epcot. Guests can meet Figment at the end of 2023.
The Hatbox Ghost is coming to the Haunted Mansion at Walt Disney World next year.
The Tron Lightcycle Run is officially opening in the spring of 2023 in Magic Kingdom’s Tomorrowland.
The next ship being introduced in the Disney Cruise Line fleet will be called the Disney Treasure. The ship will feature Aladdin, Jasmine, and the Magic Carpet as the main statue in the lobby.
For the first time ever, the Disney Wonder will be sailing to new locations such as Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and other south pacific regions.
Disney is also getting a brand new private island called Lighthouse Point. It will be heavily influenced by Bahamian culture.
In honor of 100 years of The Walt Disney Company, the Disney Parks will feature characters in platinum costumes. New fireworks and a World of Color show will debut at Disneyland in 2023 as part of this celebration. The Magic Happens parade is set to return next year as well.
