Beaches ‘n’ Cream at Walt Disney World Resort

For years Beaches ‘n’ Cream Soda Shop has been a favorite for Disney-goers looking for that perfect ice cream parlor. The jukebox playing hits from the 50’s and 60’s and the amazing soda shop feel created an amazing environment transporting you back to the days of yesteryear.

Last year my daughter and I were last customers on August 26, 2019, as they unplugged the jukebox and ventured into a refurbishment to create more space and redesign the soda shop.

Fast forward to last weekend, and I was finally able to get to revisit the location. It’s more spacious and there are new design elements. It definitely feels different, but it was ever so good!

Menus at most restaurants are now scanned QR codes allowing a touchless menu on your phone. It’s a great way to browse menus without concern for your personal health and safety by utilizing your own device. The infamous Kitchen Sink is available, however currently the show that always accompanied the serving of one is currently on hold due to the pandemic.

I had multiple meals over the weekend: the ranch chicken sandwich, the tomato soup and grilled cheese, the French dip and the macaroni & cheese. I also enjoyed multiple Frozen Sunshines, a delicious collaboration of orange sherbet, vanilla ice cream and seltzer water. Food is decently priced by Disney standards. The food for the price in my opinion is well worth the experience. I thoroughly enjoyed Beaches ‘n’ Cream and suggest it to anyone that they try it at least once!

Bar seating is available and walk-ups are accepted, however due to the current climate at the parks, I 100% suggest securing Advance Dining Reservations whenever possible. All restaurants at Walt Disney World are seeing high demand and have limited seating availability during 2020, so please prep accordingly. Beaches ‘n’ Cream is a tough reservation to get, so I suggest utilizing your travel agent or securing the reservations exactly at the 60 day mark.
