All We Do is Brunch, Brunch, Brunch!
Brunching at Disney is one of our favorite traditions. With a variety of different dining locations, guests can partake in the magical blending of two meals. Our taste buds led us to Topolino’s Terrace on our most recent visit. Upon arrival to the rooftop of Disney’s Riviera Resort, we
could already sense the jovial sounds and smells of the scrumptious delights that were to come.
Topolino’s Terrace was the perfect choice for a smorgasbord of brunchy cuisine and sips. Marci chose the Sour Cream Waffle adorned with orange maple syrup, roasted apples, and chantilly with a side of smoked bacon. A classic mimosa brought her entree over the top.
Feeling adventurous, I opted for the Wild Mushroom Scramble made up of spinach, plant-based eggs, and plant-based sausage. After several bites, I realized that this was not a wise choice for a meat-loving princess. Our kind server took the vegetarian concoction away and replaced it with the Mickey Waffle Dippers from the kids menu. Let’s just face it…anything Mickey-shaped just tastes better! This handheld masterpiece was as cute as it was yummy. The Mickey and Minnie shaped waffles were served with a trio of dipping sauces: chocolate, strawberry, and traditional maple syrup and were placed atop an artist’s palette.
The fanciness of the Italian and French atmosphere prompted me to indulge in a freshly brewed vanilla cappuccino. The overall cuisine at Topolino’s was one of the best we’ve ever experienced on Disney property.
Perhaps the number one reason guests might flock to Topolino’s, is the opportunity to catch a glimpse of Mickey and friends dressed to the nines in outfits unique to the French and Italian Riviera. Ballet Dancer Daisy, Sculptor Donald, Poet Minnie, and Artist Mickey are announced
one by one and saunter around the restaurant to greet guests. Be prepared to take several quick selfies with each character as they stroll past.
Following your scrumptious brunch, be sure not to miss the terrace area overlooking many Disney sights. The combination of the European decor, unique flavors, and imaginative characters blend to make this brunch adventure tres fantastique!
